"Aurora's Sunrise" (2022)

The movie is based on the real life story of Aurora Mardiganyan, an Armenian genocide survivor,  who after escape, became an actress in the United States. 

Produced by Bars Media Documentary Film Studio (Armenia) in collaboration with Gebrueder Beetz Filmproduktion (Germany) and Broom Films (Lithuania).

Director: Shoghakat Vardanyan

When her brother goes missing during the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Shoghakat decides to film her parents search and emotional process - even at times when others might have put down the camera. The film won the IDFA award for the Best Film in International Competition, as well as the FIPRESCI Award.
